About the Organisation
The NorthCap University was conceived as Institute
of Technology and Management (ITM) in 1996 to promote excellence in higher
education.
ITM gained the status of University in the Academic
Year 2009-10 and was renamed and recognized as ITM University under section
2(f) of the UGC Act 1956 and Haryana Private Universities Act, 2009.
Subsequently the University was rebranded as The NorthCap University (NCU) in
August 2015 and accredited by NAAC in 2015. Today, knowledge at NCU has spread
across its three schools, i.e. School of Engineering, Law and Management. It
has been consistently ranked among the premier institutions of higher education
in North India.
The School of Law at NCU has been ranked amongst
some of the best law schools of India and the most preferred private university
destination for law aspirants across the country. In 2018, it was ranked 9th
among private law schools in the country by Career 360 and 3rd in the category
of ‘eminence’ among the law schools in Northern region. The School has
continually strives to achieve excellence in legal education through
interactive teaching learning process, clinical opportunities, exposures to the
legal profession. It encourages selected students to be academically sound in
an enabling atmosphere conducive to their all-round development.
