About the Competition
On the occasion of teacher’s day LawInternships, in association with All India Law Student Federation, is organizing a first-of-its-kind National Judgment Writing Competition, 2020 for overall development and enhancement of legal writing knowledge of legal postulants.
Writing a judgment encompasses a detailed process of understanding and reasoning the factual matrix of the case, applying appropriate law, and knowledge of courtroom practices, ability to make a fair decision and finally deliver it in a reasonable manner- “De Jure”
Note: Top 10 Shortlisted judgments shall be given live review/feedbacks by Justices of Courts/Tribunals of India.
Eligibility
The Competition is open to every student pursuing either five-year or three-year course in law from various Schools/Colleges/Universities/ in India.
Registration Fee
For Team Registration: INR 700 Only/- (Rupees Seven Hundred only)
For Individual Registration: INR 400 Only/- (Rupees Four Hundred only)
Language
The official language of the Competition is strictly English. Communication in any other international, national, or regional language during the Competition shall not be permitted.
Date & Mode
The results shall be released on September 21, 2020, via online mode.
Registration Details
The participants are required to complete the “Provisional Registration” through the link for Google Form annexed below which shall be done on or before September 5th, 2020, 11:59 PM IST.
The “Final Registration” shall be considered to be completed only after the participants make the payment of the registration fees which shall be done on or before September 7th, 2020.
Note: Account Details and Judgment Writing Competition Composition/Problem will be released to participants individually via e-mail, only after the provisional registration process is completed.

Provisional Registration Date: Begins from 20th August to 5th September 11:59 PM IST.
Release of the Problem: 25th August
Final Registration Date (Team Codes will be released as soon as Final Registration is completed): 7th September 11:59 PM IST.
Last Date for Clarifications: 5th September 11:59 PM IST.
Clarification Release: 6th September
Last Date of Submission of Final Judgement: 12th September 11:59 PM IST.
Review with the Judges: 19th and 20th September
Results: 21st September

Individual Winner Prize: INR 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only)
Runners-up: INR 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only)
Team Winner Price: INR 3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only)
Runners-up: INR 1500/- (Rupees One Thousand Five Hundred only)
Internship Opportunities to all the winners and runners-up will also be provided by LawInternships.
Top 10 Shortlisted judgments shall be honored with live review/feedbacks by Justices of Courts/Tribunals of India.
Free Publication of top 10 judgments at Lex Jura Law Journal (ISSN: 2582-3949).
Certificate of Merit to top 10 Participants.
