About the Opportunity

IIT Bombay is seeking to recruit for the role of Senior Executive [Legal] for the project titled Office of Dean R&D. The appointment is for Industrial Research & Consultancy Centre (IRCC).

Job Description

  • End-to-end handling of all legal documents and related activities in the Dean (R&D) Office.
  • Legal assistance in the event of litigation.
  • Managing Agreement templates for various needs
  • Creating awareness among the IITB community regarding legal implications of contracts in R&D
    and related activities.
  • Any other related work as assigned by the authorities.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 years Integrated LLB (Hons) with 55% marks or equivalent GPA, Or
  • LLB after graduation in any discipline, with 55% marks or equivalent GPA in LLB Or
  • Specialized LLB degree in IPR after a Bachelors in Engineering, Technology, Medicine,
    Pharmacy or equivalent / Masters in Science, Business administration or equivalent, with 55% marks or equivalent GPA in the said LLB degree.

Required Experience

  • Advocate or a legal officer/equivalent in a legal department of a Government or reputed
    non-government institution with a number of years experience as given

    • Six years after mentioned qualification for point no.1. and 2. mentioned above
    • Four years after mentioned qualification for point no. 3. mentioned above
  • Membership of the Bar Council of India. It is mandatory to upload the Bar council membership certificate while applying.

Desirable Experience

Specialized in IP law / worked in IP-related areas.

Remuneration

Consolidated salary Rs 57000/- + Rs 7000/- p.m. OCA (if applicable as per rule)
