About the Opportunity

Novopay is looking for a long-term intern for the months of November- January. The period of internship is flexible as long as the intern is available for the full month of December 2021. Currently, we are looking for 1 (One) intern, however, if we find more than one suitable candidate, we might offer 2 roles as well. Selected candidates will be invited for an informal chat. Please note that the internship would be paid.

This will be a great learning experience for all those who want to venture into the world of banking and finance, technology laws, privacy laws, and who aspire to become in-house counsels in the future.

Eligibility:

• Primarily looking for 4th and 5th-year diligent law students.

• Candidates should have a good understanding of Contracts law and Companies Act, 2013 and a general proven interest in the Technology and Fintech sector.

• Having a genuine inclination and willingness to research in the specific areas of including but not limited to banking law- RBI regulations pertaining to Prepaid Instruments, Outsourcing Guidelines, Information Technology Law, Companies Act and allied Rules, and Data Protection law

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the legal team in daily legal requirements of the Company including assistance in contract vetting, legal research, etc;

• Doing first-line review of general agreements such as consultancy agreements, NDAs, vendor agreements, tech agreements;

• Preparing daily updates in the field of banking and fintech law for the members of the Company;

• Assisting the company in meeting legal compliance requirements and maintaining internal compliance; and

• Coordinating among different internal teams of the Company (Sales, Finance, Operations), in meeting various legal requirements/ compliance.
