Online Quiz Competition on the Constitution 2021-22 for Students, by NCERT (Through MyGov): Participation Open till Dec 26




NCERT is conducting an online quiz competition 2021-22 on the Constitution of India, through the MyGov portal. Participation is open for students till December 26.

The Constitution of India

The Constitution of India is a dynamic document that ensures the aspiration of we the people of India. The Indian Constitution enables the government to take positive welfare measures; some of which are legally enforceable.

This dynamic document focuses on rules and regulations and also gives power to the government for pursuing the collective good of the society. The Indian Constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949. Its implementation formally started on January 26, 1950.

Importance of Celebrating the Constitution day

The beginning of the celebration of Constitution Day will be done by organizing an online Quiz Competition for students by NCERT. It will make the students aware of the Preamble to the Constitution, Fundamental Rights and Duties, Directive Principles of State Policy and so on.

This quiz will help in familiarizing children with the history of the making of our Constitution and the eminent people involved in its making. It will help in preparing our future generations, committed to Constitutional values and nurturing democratic principles.

The quiz also attempts to encourage the children to engage creatively in many more activities to understand the significance of Constitution day.

Objectives

The main objectives of the quiz competition are to:

  1. Create an awareness about the Constitution of India
  2. Develop knowledge about personalities associated with its making
  3. Promote understanding of its salient features
  4. Encourage children to relate to different parameters of the constitution with their lived realities

Rules of the Quiz

  • The Quiz questions are designed carefully to assess the knowledge and understanding about the Constitution of India from classes 6  to 12.
  • Each Question carries 1 mark. Students are required to attempt 20 questions in total.
  • You are allowed to attempt the Quiz only once and only one option will be accepted for a question. However, you may revise your answer before final submission.
  • No negative marking will be done.
  • Each question in the Quiz is in the Multiple Choice Format and with only one correct answer.
  • The Quiz questions are prepared in both Hindi and English. You may select one medium for answering. 
  • After responding to a question, click on the “Next Question” button to go to the next question.
  • After attempting questions, final submission should be clicked. No changes can be made after the final submission. 
  • For learners with visual impairment there is a text to speech option in both the medium i.e English and Hindi.
  • The quiz will be open for one month, staring on 26th November and will close on 26th December, 2021. 
  • Answer keys will be published after the closure of the Quiz.
