International Debate Competition On 26th April,2022

Legal Humming in Collaboration with Arka Jain University and Lexacharya India Debate Competition on Whether the Criminal Procedure Identification Bill is violation of Article 21 of the Constitution.

Theme: 

Whether the Criminal Procedure Identification Bill is violation of Article 21 of the Constitution.


WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
     1.  Academicians, Researchers, and Ph.D./Doctoral Scholars from any field.

  1. Students pursuing bachelors or masters degree (UG and PG),.Advocates, NGOs and Think Tank.

3.      3.Government officers and employees of Government undertaking, .Representatives of             Regulatory Bodies.

  1. Aspiring Law Students.
  2. School Student from Classes 6 to 12 Can Participate.


Guidelines for the competition:

·     The competition will be a virtual one and will be conducted via the zoom meeting             app.

·     The debate will be chaired by a ‘speaker’, who will read out the motion.

·   The participants will be required to prepare for both the sides – FOR and        AGAINST the motion.

·     Only solo registration is allowed, no team registration will be considered.

·   Each participant will get 4 minutes for the debate. Exceeding the time limit shall be a disadvantage for the participant.

·     One minute will be given for rebuttal to each participant.

·           There will be Total 4 Rounds

·           Preliminary, Quarter Final, Semi Final and Final.

·     The participants are free to use either medium Hindi or English exclusively.

·   Each participant must register with the Event and Coordination Team – Legal Humming & LexAcharya India, by filling the registration form, after paying the registration fees.

·   The confirmation will be given to the teams within two days of receiving the registration form and registration fees.

·    The result of the judges shall be final and binding.

·     The dress code for the activity is western or Indian formals.

·    Legal Humming & LexAcharya India reserves the right to alter or change the rules or procedures of the competition.

Winner: Rs. 1000 + Certificate of Appreciation (Winners Certificate) + Internship Opportunity.

First Runners up: Rs. 800 + Certificate of Appreciation (Runners up Certificate) + Internship Opportunity.

Second Runners up: Rs. 600 + Certificate of Appreciation (Second Runners up Certificate) + Internship Opportunity.

Best Male Debater: Rs 200 +Certificate of Appreciation

Best Female Debater: Rs 200+ Certificate of Appreciation
