About PrivLegal

Priv.Legal is a forum that focuses on internet governance, privacy, technology, and cyber security laws in the context of maintaining meaningful regulation, and innovation while securing fundamental freedoms of users of the digital world. It conducts regular events on data protection, privacy, cyber law, and technologies law, and also publish posts on these issues. 

Our mission is to promote meaningful light-touch regulation in the digital world with little impact on innovation and digital startups while securing the fundamental rights and freedoms of internet users. The work of PrivLegal is three-fold, as outlined below.

PrivLegal is making a call for blogs from enthusiastic contributors in the areas of Cyber Law and Security, Data Governance, Internet Regulation, and Data Protection. Please submit posts relating to contemporary developments in these areas analyzing the same and adding their comments, as may be relevant. 

Eligibility

PrivLegal accepts contributions from any student, research scholar, or professional in the area of data privacy, protection, internet governance, cyber law and security, data governance, information technology, telecommunications, or broader technology law, such as FinTech, gaming, Insur-Tech, or other sectors.

Submission Guidelines

  • Posts revolve around the areas of data privacy, protection, internet governance, cyber law and security, data governance, information technology, telecommunications, or broader technology law, such as FinTech, gaming, Insur-Tech, or other sectors;
  • Posts must not exceed 500-600 words in length;
  • All references must be hyperlinked to the relevant text;
  • All submissions must be made in Word Document Format, and not in PDF;
  • All submissions will be subject to a thorough review process, which may extend up to 2-3 weeks. If your submission is time-sensitive, please specifically provide that in the subject line;
  • No personal details of the author must be specified in the word document containing the post.

How to Submit

  • All posts must be submitted to publish@priv.legal and must be in a word document format.
  • The author’s details to be specified include
    • Name of Author, Co-Author (if any),
    • Email Address,
    • Phone Number,
    • Institutional Affiliation and
    • Submission file.
  • All the above information must be specified in the body of the email. 
  • Authors with institutional affiliations must specify if any disclaimers must be added to the post prior to commencement of the post text.

Submission Deadline

Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.
