About LOHUM:

LOHUM powers next-gen li-ion battery mobility & energy solutions, gives batteries multiple lives through reuse technology, and makes battery materials last forever through recycling. 

LOHUM creates enhanced customer value through 3 primary technologies: 1) Lithium-ion battery manufacturing: We design and manufacture advanced lithium-ion batteries through proprietary technology and fabrication techniques. 2) Battery reuse or 2nd life solutions for used batteries: We identify healthy batteries through our proprietary cell testing and then reuse those batteries in another application. 3) Battery material recycling to recover valuable materials upon end-of-life: For batteries that cannot be reused, we recycle them to recover value materials such as cobalt, lithium, nickel and graphite. If recycled properly, these materials can be used over and over again without any performance degradation.


About the Opportunity

looking to hire a Policy Intern at Lohum.

Lohum is working to solve the extremely important geo-political problem of access to battery raw materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel for India. If this interests you, read further.


Eligibility

1. Good grounding in basics of policy, law, economics
2. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Hindi.
3. Some exposure to energy/EV/mining industry is a bonus but not strictly required

Role

1. Tracking government policies in sectors of interest
2. Preparing briefs, reports, and presentations for the senior leadership
3. Interfacing with various government and industry bodies
4. Aiding business and technical teams in understanding policies
5. Managing documentation

You'll be a key member of the team. There will be cross-functional exposure and regular interaction with senior folks. Opportunity to track the entire EV battery value chain up close at one of the most innovative startups in the country.


Mode

This is not a full time remote role. You will work from our offices in Greater Noida. We are flexible on WFH.


Duration

4 to 6 months. We’d ideally want to convert you to a full time employee at the end of this period.
