School of Law, CHRIST is inviting students to participate in the online Workshop on “Which career option is best suited?” to be held November 28 and 29, 2022.

About School of Law, CHRIST

School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore, is a part of CHRIST, Bangalore, founded and administered by Carmelites of Mary Immaculate.

About the Online Workshop

A question that is faced by every high school student, posed to every teacher and parent is “Which career option is best suited?”. Students from Generation Z are born with easy access to the internet making them aware but at the same time confused with infinite options to choose from.

There are professionals offering career guidance services but their first point of contact are parents, relatives, friends and teachers. They suggest career options by balancing their experiences, the students’ skill set and market demand.

The National Education Policy of 2020 speaks of using services of counsellors for career guidance to support teachers in creating an effective learning environment in educational institutions.

Recognising the dilemma faced by students, the Workshop aims to educate and orient identified stakeholders on multifarious career opportunities available in the field of law. Such knowledge can help teachers teach a subject while introducing the student to subject related exciting career options.

The stakeholders will be attending sessions delivered by one of the best in the field on key topics relevant to career counselling for legal jobs. The workshop intends to act as a flashlight for anxious and excited students on how and where to pursue a gamut of legal careers.
