About NLSIR

The National Law School of India Review (NLSIR) is a bi-annual student-edited, peer-reviewed law journal published by the Student Advocate Committee at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU).

NLSIR, which was first published in 1988 under its erstwhile title ‘Student Advocate Journal’, is the flagship law review of NLSIU.

About the Call for Papers

As part of Volume 35(2), the National Law School of India Review (“NLSIR”) will be releasing a Special Issue focusing on the interactions of Third World Approaches to International Law (TWAIL) with ideas of jurisdiction, extraterritoriality, statehood, and sovereignty.

It aims to create and promote understanding of discourse in these areas through TWAIL, with a special emphasis on cross-cultural engagement.

Theme

Interactions of TWAIL with ideas of jurisdiction, extraterritoriality, statehood, sovereignty and cross-culture engagement.

Submission Guidelines

  • The recommended word limit for every submission is between 2500-3500 words (exclusive of footnotes). 
  • Once the Issue is finalised, all authors of the Special Issue will be invited to be part of a Symposium conducted as a roundtable discussion (in virtual mode), towards the end of December.
  • The transcript of the same will be published on the website.

  • How to Submit?

    • Interested authors are requested to submit their draft submissions to both the mail.nlsir@gmail.com and the Digital Commons Platform by creating an account.
    • For further instructions and clarifications for submissions on the Platform, please refer to this guide.
    • Submission on both platforms is necessary for the drafts to be considered for the review process.
