About the Opportunity
The position in discussion is with the Office of General Counsel team at KGS based in Gurugram (“KGS OGC”), which provides legal support service offerings to member firms across geographies. It is led by a seasoned leadership team with significant domain expertise and comprises 18 professionals.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assisting client service teams in the negotiation and agreement of engagement and other contracts
- Responding to miscellaneous engagement contract-related inquiries
- Responding to GDPR/Data Privacy related queries for both client engagement and supplier contract
- Providing advice on engagement contracts and related matters
- Drafting and advising on contract terms
- Providing solutions to engagement contract-related problems
- Working on framework and master service agreements
- Providing support on confidentiality and other agreements
- Liaising with and supporting other technical departments
- Helping with the development of policies on engagement contracting risk
- Assisting other KPMG firms with engagement contracts and related queries
Eligibility
- Qualifications: LLB or LLM
- Total Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably with a Big 4 firm or expertise in technology agreements in a large MNC.
- Skillset: Contract Specialist
Preferred Skills
- experience handling legal or contracting queries (including GDPR/Data Privacy) and drafting or amending legal documents
- Indian or UK-qualified solicitor/lawyer with a minimum of 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience
