ABOUT THE JOURNAL
Lex Scripta Magazine of Law and Policy (ISSN : 2583-8725) is an Online quarterly magazine which is Peer Review, Academic, published online, that seeks to provide an interactive platform for the publication of Short Articles and Long Articles.
Lex Scripta
commenced in 2023 as a student initiative. It is a brand-new platform for
students to conduct and engage in legal research and to contemplate upon burning
legal issues and allied disciplines. Founded by enthusiastic law students from
Amity University Jharkhand , it is a magazine of law and policy. This platform
is an opportunity for legal enthusiasts to come up with contemporary legal
research. It aims at engaging a wider community of readers and practitioners
and to keep them updated with the recent developments in the government
policies and the new statute as well as enacted laws coming into existence.
Lex Scripta Magazine of
Law and Policy relies on the academic contributions by its authors with an aim
of encouraging more readers to participate in return of more views. We aspire
to provide a healthy environment for learning and growing. We pay regards to
our constant supporters and readers and humbly request them to sustain the
support and provide honest feedback so that there is always enough room for
improvements as this would in turn aid us to remain steadfast in the path we
have chosen.
THEME
We
believe in bringing certain reforms to the present Legal Educational System, by
publishing glorious submissions of ingenious minds. The Journal believes that
every issue or every aspect of the law is very important. Therefore, it does
not emphasize on a particular theme of law. Contributors can submit their submissions
on any theme related to the field of Law, Policy & Governance.
ABSTRACT
A
short abstract should be between 150 to 300 words that outline the main
question or theme addressed in the paper and is required to be sent along with
the submission.

The Lex Scripta Magazine of
Law and Policy (ISSN : 2583-8725) invites
original, unpublished content from all academicians, authors, legal
professionals and students from across the globe, under the following
categories-

Articles: (1500-2600 words, including footnotes)

Articles: (2500-5000 words, including footnotes)

Reviews: (1500-3500 words, including footnotes)

Case
Comments: (2000-3000 words, including footnotes)

Papers: (4000-10,000 words, including footnotes)

maximum of one co-author is allowed.

publication – We will notify to the author within 48 hours after submission of
the paper. We take 24-48 hours to publish a paper and to dispatch the

FORMATTING
GUIDELINE
The
submission must be formatted according to the following specifications:
Body:

The
submission must be word-processed and font in Times New Roman.
·
The
main text should be in font size 12.
·
A
line spacing of 1.5 should be followed for the main text.
·
All
text should be justified.
Footnotes:
·
The
footnotes must be in Times New Roman font.
·
The
footnotes shall be in font size 10.
·
A
line spacing 1.0 for the footnotes is to follow.
·
All
the footnotes should be justified.
CITATION
GUIDELINES
The
system of citation which is expected to be followed by the contributors is
BLUEBOOK 20th Edition.
PLAGIARISM
POLICY
The Lex Scripta Magazine of Law and Policy
is committed to upholding the integrity of the academic process and encouraging
original research and writing. Accordingly, it adopts binding editorial
safeguards to ensure that no plagiarized material shall be published in the
issue. The Lex Scripta Magazine adopts integral editorial standards where
submissions are pre-screened by the use of industry-standard software, aided by
human intervention to assess the nature of similarity indicated by the
software, whether incidental or substantive. Articles displaying high levels of
similarity are thus accountable to summary rejection in accordance with the
extant guidelines issued by the University Grants Commission. Authors may be
advised accordingly, and ensure that the submissions returned by the Editorial
board indicating concerns about the content and proposed suggestions are
complied with. Non-compliance with the plagiarism policy or the editorial
board’s objections may result in the rejection of the submission. The Editorial
Board, accordingly requests the authors to cooperate with them during the
review process.
