Supreme Court rules in favour of teacher, extends retirement age beyond State borders

The Supreme Court held that the West Bengal government's Notification extending retirement age to 65 cannot exclude teaching experience from universities outside the state.

 The classification was deemed arbitrary and violative of equality. The appellant was granted the benefit of the extended retirement age.
