Online Internship Opportunity with IBC16 [Blog on IBC, 2016]: Apply by June 30




IBC16, a blog focused on the IBC, 2016, is inviting applications from eligible law students for its online internship opportunity.

About the Organisation

IBC16 is a newly launched blog focused on the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. It aims to be the premier Indian platform for all things IBC. 

The most exciting and novel feature of IBC16 is India’s first free and comprehensive search engine for IBC case laws – Section X. Users can look up any judgment by any judicial forum, from the NCLTs to the Supreme Court. Not only that, but one can download the official court PDFs with just a single click. 

Another feature of the blog is interview series of the country’s leading Insolvency Professionals and other practitioners. The former is covered in ’The Mighty IP’ and the latter will be covered in ’The Experts Corner’, which will be launched shortly. 

In addition to this, there will be many new additions in the coming months.

About the Opportunity

This will be an online internship. IBC16 is looking for a ‘Section Editor’ for its section ’Through the Lens’. The role will involve the following:

  • Writing well-researched and original articles on various topics under IBC
  • Editing the submissions for publication
  • Building and managing a team of interested student writers

Eligibility

Necessary

  • A genuine interest in insolvency and restructuring laws and familiarity with the IBC, 2016
  • Prior, demonstrable experience in efficient legal research, judgment analysis and analytical legal writing
  • Strong work ethic and an ability to meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Prior work/internship experience in the area of insolvency and bankruptcy
  • Past editorial experience

Who can Apply?

Any law student who is in the 3rd year or higher of a 5-year program.

Stipend

A stipend of Rs. 4,000/- per month shall be given.

Duration of Internship

IBC16 is looking for long-term contributors. However, initially, the internship will be for 3 months and it may be extended further depending on the intern’s performance and interest.
