AGAM – An initiative for Good Governance, is inviting applications from law students for an internship opportunity for its project NIVARAN, dedicated to advocacy for poor people.

About AGAM

AGAM is a growing and evolving CSO with an aim of making a powerful impact through small steps. Its main focus lies in bringing transparency in governance, making political leaders and executives more accountable towards people, fighting against social injustice and other related fields.                

AGAM has recently launched a project ‘NIVARAN’ under which we have launched our new helpline number for poor and marginalized people of our society through which they can seek free legal advice and aid.

About the Internship Opportunity

To streamline the project activities and further keep in pace with the wing dedicated to advocacy for poor people, AGAM is inviting young interested candidates for internship opportunities who would like to be a part of the change.

Stipend

No stipend will be provided, only certificates will be given, the organization will cover conveyance and other administrative expenditures.

Responsibilities of the Intern

  • Drafting advocacy letters to various government and judicial authorities.
  • Coordinating various events related to corruption, transparency and Good Governance
  • Making event reports, MoMs etc.
  • Taking advocacy calls, listening and advising poor and marginalized people on the issues faced by them
  • Assisting Senior advocates in their other advocacy works.

Skills Required

  • Have a great passion and zeal towards social welfare and advocacy.
  • Strong communication Skill (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of government policies, schemes, and functioning.
