About IDIA Increasing Diversity by Increasing Access (IDIA) to Legal Education
IDIA helps students from underprivileged and marginalized communities to secure admission to the leading law colleges in India.
The aim is to create lawyers from within these communities. Since law is an instrument of power, access to premier legal education empowers these communities in the long run and helps them help themselves. Indeed, as the age-old adage goes: “Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, you feed him for a lifetime”. They influence law students to become CHAMPS (Creative Holistic Altruistic Maverick Problem Solvers) who are change-makers and community leaders.
About the Competition
Dive into the world of Corporate Governance and showcase your legal writing skills! The winning author(s) will earn an esteemed internship opportunity at Nishith Desai Associates, along with Publication and Cash Prizes. The top 20 participants will attend an exclusive workshop to enhance their legal writing prowess.

- Adequacy of Shareholder Remedy in India
- Increasing Litigation on ESG Governance in India.
- Labor and Employment in Corporate Governance.
- Corporate Governance in family-owned organizations.
Remember, you can also submit on independent topics falling under the umbrella of ‘Corporate Governance.’

- Registration starts: on 22nd November 2023.
- Registration closes: on 22nd December 2023 (11:59 PM).
- Submission deadline: 22nd January 2024 (11:59 PM).
Registration Fees
- – Single authorship: Rs. 250 [For IDIA scholar: Rs. 50].
- – Co-authorship (Max 2): Rs. 400 [Both authors IDIA scholars: Rs. 100; One IDIA scholar: Rs. 150].
