Bharata Mata School of Legal studies is established by Bharata Mata College Educational Trust managed by the Archdiocese of Ernakulam - Angamaly.
Bharata Mata School
of Legal Studies (BSOLS) established in the year 2013, is a centre of
excellence in legal education affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam
and approved by the Bar Council of India. BSOLS offers three undergraduate
programmes: 5 year Integrated BA LL.B, BВА LL.B, and B.Com LL.B. It offers Post
Graduate LL.M Degrees in three different streams viz., Commercial Law, Criminal
Law & Maritime law. BSOLS has also started its first Unitary LL.B (3 year
LL.B) from the academic year 2023-2024 onwards. Over the past few years, the
college has made remarkable growth in the academic field and its performance
and results have been commendable. Its mission is to provide a dynamic,
challenging and ethical environment for pursuing high-quality teaching,
learning, research, and service across all areas of knowledge.

Bharata Mata ADR International (BADRI)
BADRI
is an alternative dispute resolution centre for resolution of disputes using
the tools of Negotiation, Conciliation, Mediation, and other methods like
Arbitration and Expert Determination, at Bharata Mata School of Legal Studies.
It is formed with an objective of creating a culture of harmonious dispute
resolutions in the society, for a quick, easy, facilitative and cost-effective
dispute resolutions, with a larger objective of restorative justice for
emotionally and mentally challenged disputants of the entire community of the
state, nation and the world.
About
the Workshop
Mediation
as an ADR mechanism is gaining importance as the main dispute resolution method
in future. Once the Mediation Act, 2023 is notified, private mediation will
take off and private institutions will step in and start doing mediation which
will change the whole scenario of dispute resolution in India. The introduction
of online mediation and community mediation will make mediation the main
instrument in the resolution of conflicts and disputes in the society. There
will be an increasing demand for skilled mediation professionals to ensure
speedy justice to the solution seekers. It is in this context, this one-day
National Workshop on Mediation Law and Practice is conducted to impart
awareness and equip the participants with the basic knowledge to become
mediators in the future. Workshop is designed in the Hybrid Mode (i.e. both
online & offline mode). Certificate of participation will be provided to
the registered participants.
